Paris Poland Rome

Summer update

It’s been a while! When I look back at my last articles mentioning this year’s trips, they seem so unreal. So many things have changed since our road trip around Northern Greece, short visit in Abruzzo, hiking in the Amalfi coast, wonderful spring mornings in Rome, nice moments with friends in Paris, Nantes and Brussels, and the last trip to Sicily in June.

I’ll start from scratch. We left Rome in May and made the best really of our last month in the Eternal City. I’ve checked all the positions of my Roman to-do list and felt even more blessed every time I went out of the house and glimpsed the Saint Peter’s Basilica’s dome right in front of me. And to be frank, the only thing that bothered me after having returned the keys to our landlord was the fact that he decided to sell the apartment where we had spent that beautiful year. How happy I got when he wrote in his last e-mail that he changed his mind and would keep it at last so that we can also stay there whenever we want. The thing is, I miss everything about Rome and I’m telling you that someday we will come back there for good.

We are back in France for almost 4 months now, found a new, lovely home in Paris, in my favorite Batignolles. We’re living fast-paced lives again, both working and I am starting my second master’s in September. We are happy to have all our close friends living so near our house and we’re still trying to catch up with every one of them. Due to busy schedules we won’t travel far during the next six months but I hope we’ll make the most of our weekends in France.

Our old keys could not get more Roman than this
